Kisii County: A video of a middle-aged Kisii woman refusing to leave her shop as a bulldozer descended on her has moved many people.

Kenya Highways Authority officials were conducting an operation that allegedly targeted structures built on walkways in Kisii town.

In the video shared by UnreportedKe, the woman is shown standing in front of a huge blue shop with a lot of glass and grills... ironically, the latter were meant to protect the shop, but in the face of a bulldozer, they did not stand a chance.

A crowd gathered and started milling about, calling to the woman to get away, but she did not move an inch; she just looked on as if it were shaping to either stop or hit her.

Was the Kisii woman saved?

After some time, the bulldozer started moving, and finally, it got to the shop; moments later, grills and glass were flying everywhere, but the owner stayed put.

She only moved to the inner parts when the outer part was done and the bulldozer started inching closer; within minutes, a huge part of the shop was down.

Many citizens who saw the video were awed by her boldness; they wondered whether she had been given any notice before the business went down. If she had been given notice, then the county government was right, but if not, they were wrong.

According to some people, one should be able to protect their life, while other people thought that it was brave for her to protect her livelihood.
