Trevor Ncube, a media executive, has emphasized the importance of ethical considerations "at the heart of our actions in the age of artificial intelligence (AI)." He cautioned against the possible dangers of this technology, even as it offers groundbreaking possibilities.

"It's easy to see why people are so thrilled about the groundbreaking potential of AI. However, we worry that it could lead to the decline of traditional values that have been crucial to human progress," Ncube stated in an interview with Standardbusiness.

Ncube stated that this marks the fourth iteration of their 'Davos'-influenced festival centered on innovative thinking. In the previous year, the festival committed to capitalizing on crucial topics such as national development, commerce and enterprise, start-up financing, the cultivation of political leaders, and gender parity, to name a few.

According to a statement released from the 2024 Ideas Festival, ongoing conversation is critical for building solidarity and reviving Zimbabwean principles, particularly among the country's youth.
