AAR Hospital has finally spoken out after numerous social media reports suggested that gospel artist Betty Bayo was refused urgent medical care because of a deposit problem prior to her passing.

In an official announcement published on Thursday, November 13, the hospital expressed its sympathies to Betty’s family and her supporters.

The administration also addressed what it described as "inaccurate and deceptive" content circulating on the internet.

Although it did not explicitly mention the late gospel musician, but instead referred to her as "a notable Kenyan figure," the facility confirmed that she had actually received treatment at their center.

As per the hospital's statement, the singer was hospitalized for two days, receiving immediate and intensive treatment before being moved to a different healthcare center.

Following her initial stabilization and medical evaluation, the patient and her family subsequently decided to move her to a different healthcare center for more advanced treatment.

The medical facility also mentioned that it was unable to share more information regarding the case because of privacy regulations and professional ethics.

As per Shiru, the hospital is said to have denied her admission without a KSh 260,000 deposit, a statement that led to significant public anger and demands for changes in Kenya's medical system.
