Fidelity Bank Inspires Young Entrepreneurs for a Brighter Future at 2025 Orange Summit

Fidelity Bank Ghana organized its yearly Orange Summit, titled "Smart Business, Smarter Future," marking a significant strategic move to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and intelligent systems into Ghana's business environment.
The gathering, organized at The Palms by Eagles, honored the bank's strong dedication to supporting forward-thinking enterprises via its extensive Fidelity Young Entrepreneurs Initiative (FYEI).
The Orange Summit, held in partnership with key collaborators, acts as the central element of FYEI, which encompasses the Fidelity Young Entrepreneurs Fund (FYEF) and the Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF).
The conference gathered more than 100 attendees, such as young business leaders, financiers, government officials, and development stakeholders. They exchanged perspectives on creativity, leadership, and adaptability, providing young entrepreneurs with the resources needed to innovate, succeed, and create strong businesses in an increasingly digital world.
At the event, Nana Yaa Afriyie Ofori-Koree, Head of Partnerships, Sustainability and CSR at Fidelity Bank, discussed the significant effect of the Orange Corners Innovation Fund since it began. "OCIF is primarily a funding initiative but even more so, it acts as a driver for change," she mentioned.
Since it was introduced in 2021, during the peak of the pandemic, the program has assisted more than 112 entrepreneurs in sectors such as agriculture, fashion, technology, and the creative fields.
The initiative, which has a total fund of GH¢14.3 million, has distributed GH¢22.3 million via its revolving system, with GH¢7.1 million currently in circulation within the economy. Together, our business owners have generated more than 1,000 jobs, increased output, and established lasting enterprises with clear outcomes.
Nana Yaa emphasized the Bank's dedication to broadening the FYEI. She also pointed out Fidelity's initiatives targeting women entrepreneurs in partnership with ACCION and the Coca-Cola Foundation, as well as continuous efforts with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, RVO, and other collaborators to increase OCIF's influence up to 2030 and beyond.
The achievement of OCIF stems directly from robust, ongoing collaborations. H.E. Jeroen Verheul, the Dutch Ambassador to Ghana, emphasized this dedication. "Our collaboration with Fidelity Bank has evolved into something firmly established in Ghanaian ground," he stated. "We view ourselves as sowing a seed that is nurtured by Ghanaian institutions and individuals, and which will develop into a powerful Ghanaian tree."
He stated that the training, development, and financial support offered are essential because global challenges are too many for governments to handle by themselves; they need the active involvement of the private sector. The event also recognized remarkable accomplishments within the FYEI community, as 10 outstanding entrepreneurs were awarded certificates for their excellence, perseverance, and creativity.
One of the recipients, Mr. Gideon Dendzo, founder and team leader of Giddins Ghana Ltd, delivered an impactful account of change: "OCIF had faith in us, and that confidence became the starting point for transformation," he mentioned. "We have generated employment opportunities, educated young women, increased manufacturing capacity, and introduced Ghanaian-made goods to the international market. This honor serves as a reminder that our approach is effective, and with more assistance, we can achieve even greater results."
The 2025 Orange Summit included lively conversations about the role of AI and advanced technologies in fostering innovation, enhancing governance, boosting financial awareness, and helping business owners adjust to evolving market conditions, as explained by Edna Engmann, Head of Transformation Programs at Fidelity Bank.
Attendees also learned about Ghana's tax system and ways in which new companies can organize their activities for sustained financial stability, as explained by Mr. Dominic Naab from the Ghana Revenue Authority.
In alignment with Fidelity Bank's dedication to fostering sustainable business expansion, the Orange Summit remains an essential forum where ideas, knowledge, and strategies come together to support the upcoming leaders in Ghana's business landscape.
