Chuks, who stated he was the brother of the lawmaker, openly criticized the senator during the current conflict between him and his wife, Regina Daniels.

The Nwoko family from Idumuje-Ugboko, according to Chuks Nwoko, the individual featured in a viral social media video 'dragging' Senator Ned Nwoko (APC-Delta), does not have any genealogical or ancestral connections to the family.

The family, in a statement released in Abuja on Thursday, called the allegations by Chuks as unfounded.

Mr. Chuks, who stated he was the lawmaker's sibling, used social media to openly criticize the senator during the current conflict between him and his wife, Regina Daniels.

In the trending video, Chuks claimed he had been unable to contact his brother for years, as his brother had always disregarded his calls.

As he stated, the sole method he had to convey his message was via Facebook, where he criticized the representative of Delta North Senatorial District for causing "significant disgrace" to the Nwoko family name.

Chuks, who stated he was the senator's brother, gained attention last week after sharing a viral video where he accused Ned Nwoko of leaving his family and betraying those who had supported him. In the video, he claimed he had been unable to contact the lawmaker for years, asserting that Ned had repeatedly disregarded his calls. He also criticized the senator's behavior, accusing him of being hypocritical for showing off his law degree online while neglecting his modest origins.

He further stated that a person called Nnwonye had funded the senator's studies in the United Kingdom, maintaining that the senator's initial act of disloyalty was directed at their older brother. He also alleged that the senator married young women, declined to settle Regina's dowry with her father, and even altered his original name from Chinedu to Ned. Chuks ended by advising the politician to cease bringing disgrace upon the Nwoko family.

Falsehood peddler

Nevertheless, the Nwoko family claimed that the individual was spreading lies.

Michael Nwoko, the cousin and Chief of Staff to Senator Nwoko, clarified, "Chuks is not and has never been a member of the Nwoko royal family. His father comes from the western region of Nigeria, and according to all known standards of lineage, tradition, and ancestry, he has no genetic or familial connection to Idumuje-Ugboko."

He stated: "It is therefore bold, even ridiculous, for him to adopt a tone or assert any influence regarding issues related to the Nwoko family. His harmful video demonstrates either a deep lack of understanding of the facts or a support for outside groups that are eager to tarnish a man whose history of dedication to his people and country is flawless."

"It is a typical example of an individual trying to gain cheap attention by criticizing a name that surpasses their understanding. In recent days, Chucks has used social media to spread lies and make unjust comments about the Nwoko royal family from Idumuje-Ugboko, especially Sen. Ned Nwoko. His uninformed statements are not only harmful but also a bold effort to involve the name of a respected family in unnecessary conflict," he added.

Illustrious son

The staff director of the legislator highlighted that Mr. Nwoko is still one of Delta's most distinguished sons, a person whose record of dedication goes beyond political involvement and whose impact has reached people well outside his local area.

His impact on the development of Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta North, and the entire state of Delta is extraordinary.

He has turned kindness into real-world efforts, including scholarship initiatives, community facilities, youth development, and sports advancement.

In the 10th Senate, Ned Nwoko has continued to be one of the most reliable advocates for genuine transformation. He has introduced more than 34 bills and proposed numerous motions addressing critical concerns. His style of public service is thoughtful and firmly grounded in intention. He is determined, forward-thinking, and driven by a steadfast conviction that public service is a moral obligation, not an arena for showmanship. It is worth highlighting that these unfounded diversions do not affect his reputation or weaken his determination," he stated.

He emphasized that individuals involved in spreading lies would eventually end up isolated in the desert of insignificance, whereas those with a clear vision would keep adding their names to the records of national advancement.

The Nwoko family, therefore, completely separates itself from the reckless statements made by Mr. Chucks Nwoko. He expresses his own views, and possibly those of individuals who support his delusions, but certainly not on behalf of the Nwoko lineage or the residents of Idumuje-Ugboko. Senator Nwoko is not a person easily influenced by noise or diverted by trouble. His life's work speaks for itself, evident in the schools he has constructed, the legislation he has introduced, the opportunities he has provided, and the many lives he has quietly transformed.

He continues to be stable, concentrated, and motivated by belief instead of noise.

In the end, individuals who deal in rumors will vanish like dust in the wind, while those who construct, as the senator keeps doing, will forever have their legacy firmly established through the lives they've influenced," the chief of staff further remarked.
