On reaching their destination, Onduparaka discovered they had brought just a single set of playing clothes, which was in a color that conflicted with the home team's outfit.
As per the competition rules, "If the referee believes that the two teams' kits are the same color or conflict, the away team must switch to their officially registered home kits or any other set that resolves the conflict."
With no other kit available or a temporary alternative, Onduparaka could not participate in the match, resulting in a walkover for Bunyagururu.
"Onduparaka regrets to inform the public that our 7th league match ... was not held because of unexpected situations," the club stated in a release. This incident might now result in them losing an extra three points and three goals, depending on the decision of the Fufa Competitions Panel.
The new club management led by Ceaser Buti Galdino aims to regain control and steer the team back on track.
