Pastor's Heartbreak: Wife Leaves for Best Man, Moves Near His Home
- Pastor Gilbert Manyasi revealed the heartbreaking story of his unsuccessful marriage, in which his wife left him for their best man.
- Manyasi told okay1.co.ke that he encountered a dedicated churchgoer, and they developed feelings for each other, hoping for a joyful marriage.
- A few years following their marriage, conflicts emerged, with the couple blaming each other for different problems, eventually leading the woman to move in with the best man.
A minister in Nairobi has emotionally shared the tale of his unsuccessful marriage. Pastor Gilbert Manyasi described how he was initially pleased to meet a woman who was strongly dedicated to the church.

For him, Brenda (not her real name) was a caring woman, grounded in Christian principles, and she was also involved with the praise and worship group.
The couple fell in love, started a relationship, and anticipated getting married someday. They occasionally saw each other to maintain the passion in their romance.
Did Pastor Manyasi have a child with his former wife?
However, in 2019, Manyasi discovered a troubling message that had been sent to Brenda by another individual.
"She visited me. A man called her, but she didn't respond. I later saw their messages, in which the man expressed how much he had missed her. He referred to her as 'babe' and asked where she was," the pastor said.
He acknowledged having addressed her regarding the matter, but she remained silent and went to sleep instead.
The following morning, she exited the house and came back three days later accompanied by her brother-in-law to collect some of her possessions.
Manyasi believed the relationship had ended, until three months later when she came back, stating she was pregnant with his child.
Although Manyasi was unaware of where Brenda had been during their three-month separation, he welcomed her back and treated the child as his own, since they had engaged in sexual activity.
The couple's life appeared to stabilize as the father of a child carried on with his religious responsibilities and even established his own church. They eventually got married officially in December 2021.
As the days passed, their affection grew stronger, and they formed a joyful family of three.
To help Brenda gain independence, Manyasi motivated her to go back to school. She completed a brief course in 2022 and was lucky to land a position as a sales agent upon finishing.
"In 2022, she started working as a sales representative. She began making some money, and that's when her life took a turn and difficulties arose," he said.

What occurred once the pastor's wife secured a job?
As stated by Pastor Manyasi, Brenda started staying out past midnight, coming home without giving reasons, and frequently refusing him marital privileges.
Her style evolved, and she began engaging in conversations with different men, insisting they were "just friends."
At this stage, Manyasi had had enough and turned to their most trusted pair to step in and help resolve their conflicts.
Nevertheless, the circumstances changed when Brenda alleged that he physically abused her.
Regrettably, the most favorable pair supported Brenda, insisting that Manyasi apologize for his behavior.
"She wept and informed them that I wasn't paying the rent, purchasing food, and that if she didn't handle those expenses, I would hit her daily. She also alleged that I threatened to kill her and was demanding a dowry from her parents," he explained.
Although there were misleading statements, Manyasi apologized and even contacted Brenda's parents to ask for forgiveness for requesting a dowry.
His objective was to bring back harmony and make sure their child was properly looked after by both parents.
Nevertheless, this did not fix their marital problems. Brenda started sleeping in the living room and stopped participating in her husband's church. "When she was questioned about why she wasn't attending her husband's church, she stated that I had locked her inside the house and told her not to go to services," he mentioned.
How did Manyasi's wife end up moving into the best man's house?
A few weeks later, Brenda gathered her possessions, brought their child, and relocated to their best man's residence.

As per Manyasi, the best man's wife was employed in another county and seldom present at home, leaving Brenda with him. This is how their relationship is said to have started.
"I contacted the pastor who performed our wedding and described the situation, but he brushed me off. He mentioned they were dealing with other matters and suggested I talk to the best man to fix the problem," Manyasi remembered.
The bishop delivered a sermon on a Sunday regarding how men who mistreated their wives were not fit to serve God.
Manyasi's attempts to salvage his relationship collapsed when everyone bought into the misleading story that he was an aggressive individual.
The best man along with several church leaders are said to have attempted to hinder him, asserting that they possessed greater financial resources than him if he continued pursuing Brenda.
In the end, Manyasi surrendered, abandoning her to the best man and attempting to restore his reputation, which had already been ruined.
"I was feeling very sad and couldn't keep preaching or concentrate on my ministry. I lost all my money. My church shut down, and even today, I live in the servants' quarters of another church because they feel sorry for me," he said.
The man of God stated that he has since progressed and is working to restore his life without his wife.
Why did a woman from Nairobi feel remorse about marrying the son of a pastor?
Previously, okay1.co.kestated that a woman felt remorse for marrying one year post-wedding.
Beth Wanja stated that she wed Amos, hoping for a life filled with love and loyalty, as he was the son of a minister.
Nevertheless, only a few months into their marriage, difficulties arose in their idyllic life when Amos was drawn to a bishop.
