The Vice President's spouse was without a ring during her trip to the Camp Lejeune military installation in Richlands,North Carolinaon Wednesday alongside the First LadyMelania Trump.  

Images depict Usha, 39, exiting an airplane with her left hand clearly visible — and the wedding ring absent.

Additional images from Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River confirm the ring remained off throughout the visit.

The Deputy President, on the other hand, was captured on camera with his wedding ring on during a speech in Washington on Thursday.

The picture follows weeks of hostile online comments discussing the condition of the Vance relationship, which started in October with theThe Vice President's close embrace of Erika Kirkduring a ceremony honoring her spouse, the conservative activistCharlie Kirk.

Rumors of a potential disagreement between the Second Couple were intensified when the VP revealed that he has repeatedly asked his wife to switch from Hinduism: he is a Roman Catholic.

The visit was the first joint engagement for Usha and Melania and was designed to cheer up the troops ahead of Thanksgiving.

They also visited Lejeune High School and spoke with students prior to heading to a nearby elementary school for art and craft activities with other kids.

Furthermore, images of Usha's earlier appearance on November 10 – a shared visit to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center with her husband – reveal that she was not wearing her band at that occasion either.

As images started spreading on X, observers noted that Usha might be subtly expressing her emotions toward her husband, 41.

A user humorously remarked that Usha was "quietly quitting her husband," while another commented, "there were signs..." and shared a photo of Vance hugging Kirk.

Some were more supportive of Usha and Kori Talbot stated: 'Yes, many individuals (not only women) do not wear their wedding rings constantly.'

But she must be aware that she will be photographed and that it will be discussed and speculated about...so I definitely believe it's intentional to make some kind of 'statement'.

Gina Milan stated: 'Many individuals leave their wedding rings at home while traveling. Several remove them at night and neglect to put them back on due to managing children and everyday responsibilities. Yet, these people somehow turn that into a 'gotcha'? The extent of this is truly astonishing.'

When approached by the Daily Mail, a representative for the Second Lady stated that Usha "is a mother of three young children who does a lot of dishes, gives many baths, and sometimes forgets her ring."

Kirk and Vance's hug took place last month in Utah during a tribute gathering for Charlie Kirk, who was killed while hosting a university event just weeks before.

The Deputy Leader was observed nervously wrapping his arms around Kirk's waist, a former reality show participant, and embracing her firmly as she seemed to run her fingers through his hair.

Nicola Hickling, a lip reader, informed the Mirror US that Kirk appeared to be saying: 'I can't do this, I don't wish to do it'.

As she stepped onto the stage and embraced Vance, he said to her, "I'm proud of you."

During an interview at the end of last month, the Vice President shared another area of disagreement with his spouse — their differing religious beliefs.

The vice president's wife is Hindu and was not raised in a religious family, as stated by her husband.

On the other hand, Vance is a committed Catholic who intends to bring up his three children within a Christian family environment.

'Now, on most Sundays, Usha joins me at church,' Vance said to a MAGA crowd during a Turning Point USA event at the University of Mississippi.

"Yes, my wife wasn't raised as a Christian. I believe it's accurate to say she was brought up in a Hindu household, though not one that was especially religious in either direction," he said.

The Vice President subsequently disclosed that he had informed Usha that he wished her to 'have faith in the Christian Gospel,' marking the first instance where Vance openly expressed his desire for Usha to embrace Christianity.

As I've informed her, and I've stated publicly, and I'm saying now in front of 10,000 of my closest friends," Vance continued. "Do I hope that, in the end, she is influenced by the same thing that moved me when I was involved with the church?

Sure, I truly wish that because I have faith in the Christian Gospel, and I hope that my wife will eventually view it in the same light.

He stated, "But if she doesn't, then God mentions that everyone has free will, and that doesn't create an issue for me."
