Grade A Traditional Court, located in Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State, has postponed its decision, in a divorce case filed by a man named Lasisi against his wife, Taibat, whom he claimed was stubborn, harmful, and evil. He further stated that she tried to take her own life.

Lasisi stated that Taibat showed no respect towards him and consistently dismissed any advice he offered her.

The plaintiff further mentioned that their home had never known tranquility due to the defendant's constant insistence on getting her own way.

As per the plaintiff, the defendant tends to become angry quickly and has a tendency to damage items within the house when in such a mood.

Lasisi mentioned an instance when she damaged his machine following a fierce disagreement, and he had her taken into custody by the authorities.

He also mentioned that Taibat did not fulfill her duties as a mother to their children.

Lasisi stated that Taibat was unwilling to collaborate with him in providing their children with proper guidance, leading to the children becoming unruly.

Lasisi again mentioned that Taibat tried to take her own life by consuming cement following the time he handed their first child over to the authorities after stealing.

The plaintiff stated he was no longer interested in continuing their marriage and therefore requested its termination.

He also asked for a court order preventing his wife from harassing, intimidating, and meddling in his personal life.

Taibat rejected everything Lasisi stated.

She also denied that their marriage should be ended.

Taibat claimed her husband had a habit of frequently hitting her.

As per the defendant's statement, she was admitted to the hospital the last time her husband assaulted her.

Lasisi, during his testimony, stated, "My wife began residing with me a few months following our meeting."

I did not settle her dowry.

Marrying my wife was the biggest error I have ever made in my life.

My happiness and calm have left me since I married her.

Taibat showed me no respect and did not value the advice I provided her.

We were in constant conflict because she was inflexible and determined.

My wife was unwilling to work with me in properly raising our children.

This resulted in their participation in dubious actions.

My first child took my mother's money, and I had him taken into custody by the police.

My wife, instead of lowering her head in embarrassment, chose to get me into trouble.

She combined cement with water and consumed it.

She was taken to the hospital and admitted.

I spent a lot of money while she was in the hospital.

My lord, Taibat nearly destroyed me.

She had a tendency to damage my belongings whenever we had arguments.

She went so far as to destroy the device I used for feeding the home.

I became so angry and frustrated that I had the police arrest her.

My wife, to my dismay, went to confront my mother in her shop and discarded her goods.

I left our home when it became clear that my wife was going to send me to an early grave with her numerous wrongdoings.

Taibat still denied that I am at peace.

She now visits my business to confront me and drive away my customers.

Our son, I was informed, has stopped returning home after he took some things from the house.

My lord, I am through with my wife and marriage.

I ask the court to end our marriage.

I also ask for an order that prevents her from threatening and interfering with my personal life.

All he spoke is false.

I refused for our marriage to be ended.

I did not consume cement, nor did I discard her mother's belongings.

I'm not sure what I did that caused him to take me to court.

My spouse used to physically abuse me.

The previous time he defeated me, he nearly took my life.
