I can already sense it, as many of you have stopped responding to calls and emails. I'd prefer to think it's because my events column has been keeping you occupied, so I won't stop putting it together.

Thursday

Vivo Energy's Corporate Golf Day is being held today at Windhoek Country Club and resort starting at 11:00. With the theme 'Swingin' it for Safety', the event aims to collect funds for installing lights and security cameras in high-crime areas of Windhoek. The participation fee is N$4,000 per person, which includes a shirt, cap, golf cart, breakfast, snacks, and prizes.

The film 'Ocean' featuring David Attenborough will have its last showing tonight at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre starting at 6:00 PM.

Charles Pretorius' art showcase, titled 'Entangled Novism,' is currently on display at Omidi Creative House in Windhoek. The exhibit will end on November 14.

This Weekend

This Saturday features "Gratitude for Growth," a three-hour face-to-face workshop aimed at helping attendees adopt a gratitude perspective, enhance emotional abilities, and improve team interactions. It's ideal for coaches, managers, and anyone looking to grow through appreciation. The fee is N$600 starting at 09:30. The Windhoek venue has not been revealed yet.

There is a women's event organized by the Inner-City Lutheran Congregation happening this Saturday at 14:00. Attend speeches by notable figures including Minister of Health and Social Services Esperance Luvindao, Eunice Gonze, Robyn Nakaambo, and Annatjie Thobias, with a participation fee of N$200 per person.

Next Week

The Huru Production Auction of regular bulls will take place next Tuesday at Agra in Windhoek starting at 18h00. Approximately 20 registered bulls and 40 top-quality cows will be available for bidding. Participate either in person or via the internet.

Prepare for the third 'Restoration' concert featuring Nigerian artist, composer, and worship leader Sinach at Hage Geingob Stadium on 22 November. General admission tickets cost N$100, Golden Circle seats are priced at N$300, individual VIP tickets are N$2,000, and VIP booths that can hold up to 25 guests with food and beverages are available for N$50,000 through webtickets. The remaining performers have not been revealed yet.

The National Theatre of Namibia is conducting the Stage Actors Training Lab 2025 every Tuesday and Thursday in the Rehearsal Room from 14:00 to 17:00. Tickets, priced at N$50 per session, can only be purchased through webtickets.

View the play 'God of Women' by Francis Nyathi, which will be broadcast every Tuesday and Friday on One Africa's 'Learn On One' show at 16h30. It is ideal for Grade 9 students and those who enjoy Namibian narrative.

Stop by for quiz night and show off your brainpower at Piccolo Cafe and Lounge every Tuesday starting at 6:30 PM. Admission costs N$30 per person for groups of up to six.

On Wednesdays, you can also get two icy cold beers from the tap for half price at Vinyls Music and Arts Café.

The establishment on Liliencron Street, called The Speakeasy, is offering a special ladies' night every Wednesday, featuring a 50% discount on all cocktails and meal choices.

The final Wednesday weekly event is comedy and poetry night at Sicilia's Restaurant and Lounge starting at 19:00. Cash prizes of up to N$1,000 are available for participants. Only a few spots are left.

Beyond

From November 30 to December 7, there is a seven-day farm camp program for boys and girls aged 14 through 18. From December 7 to 14, the same program will be offered to children between the ages of 10 and 13. The activities consist of Bible study, regular farm tasks, welding lessons, tool usage, fishing, target shooting, tire changing, horseback riding, trap setting, and other similar pursuits. The cost for lodging and food is N$3,500.

One month from now, on 13 December, 'Hi Dezember' will take place, with DJ Kiki, Dress, Tumi Mohamed, Soul Brothers, Mr Lucas, and Bizza performing. Head to Protea Hotel Fürstenhof for N$250.
