Genesis has lured Mathieu Jaminet and Paul-Loup Chatinto attract competitors from rival manufacturers to participate in its new Hypercar initiative in the World Endurance Championship next year.

Jaminet transitions to Hyundai's luxury brand following an extended period at Porsche, while his fellow Frenchman Chatin joins the team after two years competing in the series.Alpine A424 in the WEC.

A 31-year-old driver has been associated with Porsche since 2016, starting as a junior driver and later achieving full-factory status. He has won championships in the ADAC GT Masters and IMSA’s GTD Pro category, and secured class victories at the Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours. Jaminet also participated in Genesis' private test at Aragon this month, completing his initial laps in the GMR-001 LMDh.

Similar to Jaminet, Chatin has long been speculated to be joining Genesis, and his departure from Alpine was officially announced on Wednesday.

Despite not having tested the team's new car, Genesis mentioned that his experience driving the ORECA-based A424 will be significant, as the Korean manufacturer has also selected an ORECA LMP2 chassis for the core of its own LMDh prototype.
